Looking after the mind
Having good mental health is really important for your wellbeing, and empowers you to achieve more and be the best you can be.

You can also check out the NHS Every Mind Matters campaign, where you can even build your own personalized wellbeing plan and tailor the advice to you!
If you need help to manage and maintain your mental and physical health during this difficult period, there are plenty of free wellbeing apps that offer support on the go! To keep yourself healthy, try downloading HeadSpace, the mindfulness app that helps you stress less, move more and sleep better. You can find HeadSpace on your mobiles app store.
Getting a good nights sleep is key to having great mental wellbeing. We know your schedules may have changed during this time, but try to stick to your normal routine. Getting up and going to bed at the same time every day will help you get the sleep you need to feel refreshed and tackle your to-do list!
Try to also avoid using your phone past 9pm. We know the lure of scrolling social media can be strong, but putting away your devices on a night will help you relax and unwind before bed.
Looking after the body
Physical exercise is amazing for your wellbeing, and has many benefits, including boosting your mood, relieving anxiety and improving your health.
Gyms may be closed, but there are plenty of free exercises you can do from the comfort of your own home. Try using household items like tinned food or bottles of water for weights, or you can use your stairs as your own personal exercise machine!
There’s also plenty of free work out videos for all different abilities on YouTube too. If you need a helping hand, or some advice on how to train out of the gym, make sure you take a look by searching ‘home workout’ or ‘home exercise’.
