    Budget advice

Having a budget can help you see a clear picture of where you may need extra support or how you can cut back and save money. Here’s what you need to get started:

    1. Work out how much money you receive each month by adding up all of your income including your wages and benefits.
    2. Make a list of everything you spend that includes everything from your most important bills such as you rent and utilities and then what you spend on your living costs that includes things like food and toiletries.
    3. Work out whether you have money left over or if you need further money support. You can do this taking your total income amount and taking away how much money you spend. This will give you an understanding on whether you need debt advice or whether there is extra money available.

You can also click on the buttons below to use free resources to help create your budget, and it will work everything out for you. You will just need to know steps 1 and 2 above.
