Be Proud Awards – introducing the winners of the Maureen Clunan (Social Enterprise) Award!

Social enterprises are businesses with a social or environmental purpose and as part of our Be Proud Awards, we wanted to spotlight the businesses that are making a positive impact to our communities by awarding them with the Maureen Clunan (Social Enterprise) Award!

The winner of the Maureen Clunan Award (Social Enterprise) in Salford is Kickstart!

Kickstart goes above and beyond for families in the local area by setting up the community hub and launching a dance troupe for the children that live locally. They have also set up a Friday night youth club as a place for younger people to socialise.

The winner of the Maureen Clunan Award (Social Enterprise) in Stockbridge Village is the Transforming Lives Company.

The Transforming Lives Company works in partnership to deliver the One You program that supports people who are unemployed to gain employment. They also offer well-being support and employability skills. This summer the company has supported nine people from Stockbridge Village through the One You program.

The winner of the Maureen Clunan Award (Social Enterprise) in Fitton Hill is REEL CIC.

REEL CIC have been delivering activities and services in Fitton Hill for nearly 6 years. Some of their services include Play Streets and The Hangout which provide a space for young people to socialise in. Not only that, they also work in partnership with The Salvation Army to deliver other activities for all ages to reduce social isolation and to bring families together.

Tomorrow we will be sharing details of the Steve Sheridan Award so keep your eyes peeled!
