Supporting Stockbridge Village residents through the cost-of-living crisis

Throughout the year, funding of £10,000 was awarded by Knowsley Council’s Knowsley Better Together Hardship fund to support Stockbridge Village residents facing tough times in the cost-of-living crisis. ForHousing matched the funding to bring the total amount of support to £20,000.

This funding provided people with essentials like blankets and warm clothing in the winter months, as well as food and wellbeing support.

A proportion of the funding has been allocated to meet increasing demand at community hot food cafés delivered by Craigwayz and Phoenix Community groups at the Craigs Community Centre. The cafés welcome those in the area, providing them with a nutritious hot meal. Counselling for those whose mental health was being impacted by the stress of rising costs has also been provided.
