How to make decisions for benchmarking and getting the local community green, with Liz Blackwell

The latest episode of the Future Matters podcast has landed!

Mark Lowe’s guest this week is Liz Blackwell, Group Head of Environmental Sustainability at L&Q, a charitable housing association managing over 100,000 homes, primarily across London and the South East.

The company’s big focus is social purpose, as well as providing quality and affordable homes.. In 2021, L&Q adopted the Sustainability Reporting Standard (SRS) for Social Housing.

In this episode Liz shares her career path and getting into sustainability, L&Q’s motivation to sign up to the SRS and how this has changed the company’s approach to decision-making.

What’s super interesting is Liz’s point of view on organisations within the housing sector signing up to the Sustainability Reporting Standard and how beneficial it is for others in the sector.

We hope this episode will leave you with loads of useful notes and if you enjoyed listening, please leave a like on your platform of choice!
