Hours 36 per week. 3-week rolling rota, including early shifts, starting at 6:30am, and late shifts, finishing 7pm. Working every third weekend, usually 6:30am to 4pm.

Salary £22,415.30 per annum

As part of our Housing Managed Contract (ForFutures), you’ll maintain contact with people who sleep rough across the borough, helping them exit a street lifestyle as quickly and safely as possible.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing street outreach to assist people who sleep rough with accessing accommodation, treatment, primary care, and other relevant services
  • Walks and tours to target locations, to identify, engage with, and support customers
  • Helping to build customer confidence, personal worth, motivation, emotional well-being, and work ethic
  • Collaborating with external agencies for customer referrals
  • Completing and maintaining relevant paperwork in line with data protection
  • Undertaking risk assessments and creating plans with the customer

 

What we’re looking for:

  • Confidence and excellent communications skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, and homelessness legislation/practice
  • NVQ in level 2/3 Social Care, or equivalent
