Everything we do aims to positively impact the lives of our social housing tenants and deliver on what matters to them and their communities. We provide safe, well-maintained, sustainable homes and deliver customer-focused services. ForHousing is a place where everyone can thrive and be themselves.

Reporting to the ICT Director, you’ll focus on ensuring seamless operation of our IT frontline services, alongside our ICT Trainer and dedicated business systems analyst teams. You’ll oversee helpdesk support, manage first- and second-line support teams, maintain business applications, and facilitate IT training.

It’s a role of two halves.  One half will require you to have extensive knowledge of the housing sector and of typical housing processes.  You’ll need to be able to support and lead the business systems analysts in their roles as housing system experts.  The second half of this role will see you supporting and developing our training function, alongside our 1st and 2nd line teams where 1,200 – 1,500 queries per month is not uncommon.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of our IT infrastructure and support services.
  • Coordinating installation, upgrades, and maintenance of technology systems and infrastructure.
  • Establishing and enforcing policies and procedures that govern the use and security of technology resources.
  • Overseeing the management and maintenance of business applications critical to our operations.
  • Developing and implementing IT training initiatives, including creating training programs and collaborating with department leads to identify training needs.
  • Leading, mentoring, and motivating your teams, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Managing relationships with external technology vendors.
  • Strategic planning, aligning IT operations with organisational goals and long-term strategy.

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in ITIL, SOCITM, or CompTIA would be ideal.
  • Excellent leadership and communications skills.
  • Experience in an Office 365 cloud-hosted environment with Active Directory.
