We now have an opportunity available for an Income Recovery Assistant to join us to deliver a high-quality income maximisation service to tenants, including taking recovery action, negotiating repayments and offering advice and assistance.
Providing an effective, tenant focussed rent and other debt collection service using a variety of creative methods to support and engage tenants, you will liaise with the Housing Benefit Department, Department for Work and Pensions and make effective use of all information that is available to reduce debt; assisting income officers in ensuring tenants are supported to repay debt in an affordable, sustainable and reasonable manner. Providing information to the court officer as required, you will assist in the collection of all outstanding tenant debt recovery and provide administrative support within the team as required.
With experience of working within a customer focussed environment and strong IT skills, candidates must have proven experience of working in a busy office environment and of working to performance targets. Specific experience of working in a rent collection, debt or income management environment and leasehold and / or service charges collection would be beneficial but is not essential.
