A new creative space has opened up in Ellesmere Port for a local charity

The Theatre Porto in Whitby Park recently had a major renovation, but the loft of the theatre was left completely untouched.

Working in partnership with our repairs firm Liberty, Cheshire West and Chester Council, the space has been transformed for it to be used by a local charity, Ellesmere Port Collective.

The space has been transformed with the walls being re-plastered and repainted with the floors being levelled.

The new space means that Ellesmere Port Collective can support more young people and adults to explore their creativity and inner music talents through workshops and access to the studio equipment.

Ross Couper, a member of Ellesmere Port Collective, said: “The work completed has enabled us to create a home at Theatre Porto which will enable us to develop our community activities and create new outreach programs for the future. We are forever grateful to the team and look forward to welcoming you back to see the positive impact you have made for Ellesmere Port.”
