Here's how you can get involved in the community!

Did you know that people who engage in social activities tend to live longer and have a sense of purpose?

Getting involved in a community group this winter will improve your mental wellbeing, but you may find that getting involved or finding these groups is tricky.

Don’t worry, we have you covered with a list of groups in your area that you can get involved with this winter!

Better Lives Club:

The Better Lives Club provides access to a range of creative activities including arts and crafts, knit and natter, learning to repair or repurpose broken items or clothing.

Participants can also enjoy wellbeing related activities such as meditation, mindfulness, relaxation, sound therapy and chair yoga.

The club meets every Thursday from 11am to 2.00pm at Bridge Wellness Gardens – Activities are FREE and lunch is provided.

Westminster Men’s Wellbeing Group:

Westminster Men’s Wellbeing Group aims to improve men’s wellbeing with a weekly meet up to have a chat and to get involved in activities. Some weekly activities include; mindfulness, music, art and cooking. Sessions take place every Thursday 1.00pm-2.30pm at the Westminster Community Centre, CH65 2ER. Did you know that there’s community groups based in your area that aim to combat climate change? From Chester Wombles that aims to create a litter free environment for everyone to enjoy to Climate Action Chester & District that aims to make the area more climate friendly, there’s something for everyone!
