There are so many unsung heroes in our communities that volunteer their time to help others. As part of the Be Proud Awards, the Steve Sheridan (Volunteer) award recognises all the hard work that all the volunteers do from the goodness of their heart!
This year’s winner of the Steve Sheridan (Volunteer) award is Tracy Bailey!
After previously being homeless, Tracey began volunteering for a domestic group called Flight to Freedom. Tracey’s responsibilities include securing regular funding for the group and arranging training and events!
Volunteering at the group has allowed Tracey to grow as a person and she is now using her own experiences to help others learn and grow on their journeys.
Tomorrow, we will be sharing details of the winners of the Greatest Group award which will share the stories of the groups who have come together to make a great impact on their community through their dedication and willpower!
