Social enterprises are businesses with a social or environmental purpose and as part of our Be Proud Awards, we wanted to spotlight the businesses that are making a positive impact to our communities by awarding them with the Maureen Clunan (Social Enterprise) Award!
The winner of the Maureen Clunan Award (Social Enterprise) is Soul Kitchen.
Soul Kitchen is a group of volunteers who provide food and support to anyone experiencing loneliness, food poverty or homelessness. They achieve this by working with partners across Cheshire to deliver the service.
They also run activities to improve mental health, with activities ranging from weekly football training to encourage team work, weekly communal cooking sessions and a walking group during the summer.
