Keeping tenants and communities safe

At ForHousing, we focus on what matters to tenants – providing safe, well maintained, sustainable and affordable homes that positively impact the lives of social housing tenants and their communities.

Making sure tenants are safe in their homes is important to us. That’s why our tenant communications focus on building and customer safety to raise awareness of the building safety role and offer assurances that building safety and tenants’ wellbeing are important to us.

To let tenants know what we’re doing to keep them safe we have developed a ‘Keeping you safe’ website area to share compliance information with tenants. In this section, it has information about what we’re doing to keep tenants and their homes safe and shares important tips on how they can maintain safety in their home.

We’re being open with tenants about what checks and safety precautions we take to make sure their home is healthy and compliant. We’ve been sharing information about fire safety checks and CO detectors, gas safety inspections, EICR inspections and electrical safety, water safety and information about Legionnaire’s Disease, asbestos information and inspection details for lifts and stair lifts.
