Hi, I’m Joe. I’m part of your local Housing Officer team.
I’m here, as well as my team, to support you in your home and help look after your neighbourhood.
We know some tenants feel like we haven’t always been clear about who your Housing Officer is, what we do, or how to get support. We’ve listened to that feedback and made some changes to improve this.
You’re now supported by a team of Housing Officers working in your local area. That means there’s a team of us who know your neighbourhood and can support you when you need it.
You might not always see the same person, but working as a team helps us make sure support is picked up and followed through.
You should have recently received an email introducing you to your Housing Officer team.
Over the past year, we’ve been working across your area to support tenants and look after neighbourhoods. This includes:
1
Carrying out 9,752 block inspections and 65 neighbourhood inspections to check shared areas
2
Completing 5,688 tenancy visits to check in and offer support
3
Removing 1,056 cases of fly tipping and clearing 898 items from communal areas
4
Supporting tenants through 301 welfare concerns and 55 safeguarding cases
Some of this you’ll see in your neighbourhood, and some happens in the background — including working with partners to resolve issues that affect your area.
This work helps us to:
- Keep your neighbourhood clean, safe and well maintained
- Spot and sort issues before they become bigger problems
- Support you to stay safely in your home
- Help you access the right support when you need it
A big part of our role is supporting people through difficult situations.
Recently, one of our Housing Officers supported a tenant through significant repairs and follow‑on issues in their home. This included arranging temporary accommodation and providing ongoing support to help them feel safe and settled again.
The tenant was also dealing with personal challenges at the time. With support and encouragement, they were able to rebuild confidence and make positive changes. They later shared how much that support meant to them.
This is just one example of the kind of support our teams provide every day.

I know a lot of people would prefer to contact their Housing Officer directly.
To help us get you the right support as quickly as possible, the best way to get in touch is through our Customer Connect Hub. When you contact us this way, your enquiry comes straight through, and we can make sure it reaches the right person without delay.
You can contact us by:
- Calling 0333 123 55 22
- Completing an online form
- Using the Live Chat on our website
When you get in touch, me and my team will make sure someone listens and understands what you need. If it’s something a Housing Officer can help with, we’ll pass it to one of my team in your area and they will get back to you. If another service is better placed to help, we’ll make sure it gets to them.
This way of working helps us respond more quickly and make sure urgent issues are picked up.
We know we haven’t always got this right in the past, but we are listening to feedback and acting on what you tell us. So, we can make sure you are satisfied with the service you receive and positively impact your life.
