Did you know that there are helplines available in your local area to support with access to food, financial support and loneliness?

Physical exercise is amazing for your wellbeing, and has many benefits, including boosting your mood, relieving anxiety and improving your health.

Working out with other people is great for your motivation and can be a great way to make new friends as well! Joining running clubs or taking part in your local gym classes can be a great way to socialise at the same time as improving your physical health.

From helping you get back into work or a volunteering role, to joining a new social group and making new friends, we have plenty of opportunities just for you.

  • Motiv8 – Motiv8 transforms lives by helping people overcome the challenges and barriers they face to get back on track. By improving wellbeing, confidence and employability skills, we can increase your chances of accessing training or finding a job.
  • Skills support for growth – The SSG program supports individuals into employment or training. We will help you to pick up the skills that you’ll need, for the role that you’d like to work towards. If you’re 15-24, not in education, employment or training and live in Greater Manchester, then we’d like to help you.
  • Do Your Own Thing – Do your own thing is a programme that helps you make more out of what you love doing, by turning your ideas into income. The programme helps fuel your potential and develop your ideas before taking steps into self-employment. If you have an idea or hobby and would like to work for yourself, we can offer free help and support.

Our tenancy sustainability services aim to help you live independently, be part of your community and help you to keep your home. The kind of support we provide includes:

  • Helping you settle into your home
  • Supporting you to contact utility suppliers, and working with other ForHousing teams about things like repairs and rent
  • Advice and assistance on furnishing your home
  • Help to access medical and specialist services
  • Assistance in applying for benefits
  • Advice on budgeting, maximising income and managing rent arrears or other debtsYou can be referred to this service if you are at risk or not of not sustaining your tenancy at sign up or if you are currently struggling to maintain your tenancy.
