Having a safe and stable home provides the foundation people need to move forward with their lives. Our Homeless Prevention services work alongside local authorities and partner organisations to support people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing their home.
Through a range of projects, including the Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme (RSAP), Housing First and temporary accommodation schemes, we’re helping people access safe housing and the support they need to build a more positive future.
Over the past year, we’ve continued working with local authorities and support providers to help people access housing and maintain stability.
This includes:
- Providing homes for people experiencing homelessness
- Supporting people with complex needs to sustain their tenancy
- Helping local authorities reduce reliance on temporary accommodation
- Working with support partners to help people build independence
Having the right home and support can be life changing.
Over the past year:
1
214 homes were made available to support local authority homelessness duties, helping more people access safe accommodation when they needed it most.
2
11 people moved on from Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme homes
3
People have been supported into employment and training opportunities
4
Tenants with complex needs have been helped to access the ongoing support they need
Together, these outcomes show how safe housing and tailored support can help people rebuild stability and take positive steps towards a more secure future.
For many people, this support provides a route away from homelessness and towards greater stability, independence, and wellbeing.
We’ll continue working with local authorities and support partners to provide safe housing, prevent homelessness and help people build more secure futures.
