Things to know and look out for: 💵Most people who get this payment get it automatically. 🗓️Look out for messages saying you’ve missed a deadline. 💳Don’t share your bank details with anyone who contacts you, who you don’t know. 🔗Don’t click on suspicious links. ❌The government will never contact you to claim the Winter Fuel Payment by: text message, phone call, email, social media ad or message. If you get a message and you think it’s a scam here are a few things you can do: 🖥️Report scam emails to report@phishing.gov.uk 📞Call 159 to contact your bank safely.
