Service charges for April 2023 to March 2024

For those tenants who live in a block or scheme with communal charges, each year we provide the costs for the services they have received the previous year.  The cost to provide service charges for April 2023 to March 2024 have been sent in a letter. 

The charges have increased significantly due to increases in the cost of living, such as energy and water. 

We are here to support you with any increase in charges.  We understand the pressure that everyone is facing when it comes to managing money and running a home and the costs of utilities both within your home and communal areas. That’s why we’ve developed some Frequently Asked Questions to talk you through how the service charges have been calculated, what you need to do next and the support we have in place to help anyone to manage money. 

Our Money Advice Team are on hand and can help you with: 

  • Any questions you might have about Universal Credit or Housing Benefit  
  • Claiming Pension Credit 
  • Making sure you’re receiving any other financial assistance you are entitled to 
  • Connecting you to local partners and national support agencies.   
  • Contacting utility companies, offering advice on budgeting, affordable loans, or managing debt.

If I have received a letter about service charges, what do I need to do now? 

You don’t need to change your direct debit payments or make any changes yet; a member of our team will reach out to you closer to your next bill in February 2025 to go through what you need to do for next year.
