Towards the end of last year, we shared news with you that Liberty, who currently carry out repairs and maintenance to our homes, is now under the ownership of Wates.
We’ve listened to our tenants’ feedback and learned from them about what’s important to them when it comes to repairs. Wates’ investment, experience, knowledge and understanding of social housing repairs will help us deliver an improved service for our tenants.
As part of the remobilisation of this contract, our repairs and maintenance services will be rebranded as Wates, while Liberty will continue to be the brand for heating and gas services.
Tenants will soon start to see both Wates and Liberty vans, and the team delivering repairs will be wearing either a Wates or Liberty uniform during the changeover process, which will take place until the middle of the summer – and any Wates uniforms will also have the ForHousing logo on.
We’re making sure that tenants are kept informed so that they feel safe and assured throughout these changes and that they know that the improvements we’re making are based on their feedback.
Our focus remains on positively impacting the lives of our social housing tenants by improving the quality of our repairs and maintenance service.
