Financial pressures can have a significant impact on people’s wellbeing, confidence and ability to sustain a tenancy.
Our Income Maximisation Service works with tenants to provide practical support, specialist advice and early intervention designed to help people manage financial challenges before they escalate.
The service takes a proactive and personalised approach, helping tenants access the right support at the right time.
This work is helping to:
- Improve financial wellbeing and confidence
- Support tenancy sustainment
- Reduce the risk of financial hardship escalating
- Increase access to specialist advice and support services
- Strengthen household financial resilience
Over the past year, the service generated £652,000 in financial outcomes for tenants through specialist Money Advice support and made 158 referrals for additional specialist assistance. Together, this helped tenants access the financial support and advice they needed to improve their circumstances and sustain their tenancy.
Tenant satisfaction with the service remains high at 92.6%, reflecting the positive impact of tailored, person-centred support.
Partnership working plays an important role in helping tenants access a wider range of support.
By working closely with specialist agencies and internal teams, the service is able to provide holistic support that addresses both immediate financial pressures and longer-term financial wellbeing.
As cost of living pressures continue to affect many households, early intervention and partnership working remain essential.
We’ll continue to work with partners to help tenants access financial support, strengthen resilience and sustain their tenancies for the long term.
