ForHousing’s repairs and maintenance services

Last year, ForHousing set a new strategic direction with our vision to positively impact the lives of our social housing tenants.

As we embarked on the next phase of our journey, we reviewed how we operate to ensure our focus remains on our core mission of providing safe, well maintained homes and delivering customer focused, equitable and efficient services.

As part of this review, we explored options around the ownership of the Liberty Group.  We are now pleased to confirm that Wates Group, the leading privately-owned construction, development and property services company in the UK have acquired Liberty.  Wates have a 4,500 strong workforce and over 10,000 supply-chain operatives and partners.

As of today, things will continue as normal. Over the next two to three months, we will be working with our tenants and Wates to mobilise a new and improved repairs and maintenance service.  This will be led by Our Executive Director of Customer Experience – Repairs & Maintenance, Jamie McDonald.

Our focus remains on positively impacting the lives of our social housing tenants by improving the quality of our repairs and maintenance service.
