Ground has been broken on a new development on Park Street, Swinton. The £9.3 million project will bring 42 high-quality one and two-bedroom homes to the area.
The new scheme, in partnership with Built Developers, is supported by £4.2 million in grant funding from Homes England and £420,000 from the GM Brownfield Fund. This will provide a new lease of life to the Salford site, which has been vacant since 2020.
With great connection routes to Salford city centre and several supermarkets within walking distance, the development is perfectly located and will generate a much-needed increase of affordable housing to the area.
As part of our social value strategy, the contractors will look to employ local apprentices to help with the completion of the scheme, creating positive employment opportunities for the duration of the build, and helping local people gain valuable experience for future employment upon the development’s expected completion in April 2027.
