Discover more at Stockbridge Village's youth clubs

We wanted to help shout about some of the great work that is going on for Young People in Stockbridge and make sure that people are aware of the opportunities available.

ForHousing have been awarded money from Merseyside Violent Crime Partnerships to pilot some new sessions.  We are very excited to say that Imaginarium  will be with us every Thursday delivering creative youth theatre sessions and Kabs will be offering a wide range of sports, games and fun activities that the young people of Stockbridge and surrounding areas can get involved in. Kabs sessions will include, dodgeball, football, pads/boxercise, teambuilding tasks and so much more! These sessions are aimed at 13 – 15yr olds, but if you have a mature 11/12yr old or interested 16yr old, they may be able to come along as well.

Paul and his team from Freestyle Urban Soccer have been delivering detached sessions out on the street from May and some of you may have met Paul & Kyle during the summer sharing skateboarding and basketball tips as part of Play Streets . Pre-Covid you could see them in the Stockbridge Community Hub every Tuesday night delivering Club @ the Hub sessions. Club @ the Hub is coming back to indoors from Tuesday Feb 1st! The youth club focussed sessions for 8 – 12yr olds return to the Craigs Community Centre. This is a bigger space to move around in and will give a safe fun space for young people to be part of all kinds of projects.

For young people who want to have something to say about where they live, look no further than SAY, our dedicated youth voice project for ages 10+ delivered by VIBE. This was initially set up with the idea of young people advising the Community Development Officer on what they feel is needed for their estate.  They are currently working on a fun day to happen on the play park over February half term with the idea of consulting with people who use it. ForHousing will then support Knowsley Council to fundraise to improve this important play area.

As you will know, Stockbridge has a multitude of committed and proactive volunteers and organisations who make things happen. Below are details of all of the fantastic provision on offer. If you have any questions, an idea of your own or offer something that is not listed below please get in touch with Annie MacLean, ForHousing’s Community Development Officer via email at communities@forhousing.co.uk (FAO Annie) or 0787280 7955. You can also follow Annie and ForHousing  on Social Media @AnnieForHousing or @ForHousing where opportunities are also shared.

Please see the below for details on who to contact or you can also complete this short expression of interest survey. Please be aware places are limited.
