Have your say on the Together with Tenants draft Charter

Since January we have been working to develop the Together with Tenants Charter. This charter was introduced by the National Housing Federation and aims to strengthen the relationship between tenants and landlords.

We have developed the draft charter by creating a Facebook group which ran from January until March 2022 and gave people a place to post about the issues that were important to them.

We had 314 members of the group in Fitton Hill, Salford and Stockbridge and 62 members in Cheshire West. 115 of you shared your experiences of being a tenant and we want to say thank you again to all those that contributed to this discussion.

By looking at and understanding your experiences from the Facebook group, alongside other information from complaints, satisfaction surveys, other consultations and the community conversations project, we have worked with a group of 14 tenants to identify what the key themes are from this information and the issues that matter to you as tenants.

This has been written up into the draft ‘Together with Tenants’ charter. Where we aim to make clear what is important to you and what you can expect from us as your landlord, in order to improve our accountability to you.

We are seeking your views on this draft charter, and you can have a look at it by clicking here.

Once you have taken a look at the draft charter, we would like to know your views and check that it makes sense to you and reflects what’s important.

Please note that the consultation on the draft charter closes on the 1st June 2022, so please fill in the questionnaire by then.

Please fill in this questionnaire with your feedback on the draft charter.

If you would like more information, this video explains what we are aiming to do by developing this charter alongside you.
