Commitment to improving local neighbourhoods

Over 30 local residents attended the 1st ForHousing Customer Involvement event, held at Civic Hall on Thursday 30th November.

Our involved customers on the Ellesmere Port and Neston Scrutiny Panel organised the event to meet with local residents, who share a passion for getting involved in making their neighbourhood a better place to live and helping ForHousing in providing the right services for customers.

The event showcased involvement successes from over the past 5 years followed by an interactive session providing the opportunity for customers to share their views on involvement for the future.

“Tonight has been informative and I’ve been made to feel comfortable to share my views in a relaxed atmosphere.” – Mark, Westminster area.

ForHousing also took this opportunity to raise awareness of the Universal Credit ‘full digital service’ roll out, and as a result is now supporting six customers with the upcoming changes to the benefits system. If you are not aware of the changes to Universal Credit or would like some more information please visit forhousing.co.uk for help and advice or contact us and we’ll put you in touch with someone who can help.

Panel members have been very busy reviewing existing involvement opportunities, identifying how they have influenced and shaped the housing service and the neighbourhoods in which customers live in. They have also looked at good practice from other housing associations and within ForViva.

In February 2018 our Scrutiny Panel will be sharing the new involvement opportunities shaped by feedback from the event and our existing network of involved customers.
