We believe that everyone deserves to feel safe and comfortable in their own home and local community. That’s why we’re supporting Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Awareness Week this week to raise awareness of how ASB can devastate the lives of victims and communities and how we can all do our bit to reduce it.
Lots of things can be classed as ASB, but what does it really mean? Well, it’s ‘Behaviour which is caused or is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to one or more persons not of the same household as the perpetrator’.
That means, if someone you don’t live with is causing you continued distress through noise nuisance, criminal activity, environmental damage and more – you’re likely the victim of ASB.
Some types of behaviour like a baby crying, people completing DIY at a reasonable time or dogs barking intermittently might not be considered as ASB.

It is all of our responsibilities to report ASB when they are happening to us, or others in the community. By working together, we can build vibrant and safe communities where we all feel safe.

To report ASB in your home or local community:

· Report through the MyAccount + mobile app.
· Speak with your Housing or Neighbourhood Officer who will be able to give advice and take the report further.
In an emergency, you should always call 999. Or in a non emergency, call 101.
