Henry Terefenko is passionate about reducing health inequalities and improving the economic and social sustainability of communities. In his role as ForHousing CEO he is responsible for all aspects of tenant services, neighbourhood services, maximising income and also ensuring that services delivered on behalf of ForHousing operate effectively.
Henry is a highly regarded, innovative and experienced senior executive with a proven track record of delivering large scale corporate change. He has a wide ranging knowledge of the housing and construction sectors, having been the Commercial Director of construction company ForWorks before becoming Director of Operations at ForHousing in Ellesmere Port in 2017. More recently, Henry held the role of Group Director of Communities at ForViva.
Director of Neighbourhoods
Martyn heads up neighbourhood services helping to build vibrant, safe and diverse communities across Fylde, Knowsley, Oldham and Salford. This includes responsibility for teams covering five main specialist areas: neighbourhood and tenancy management; community safety; property management, allocations and caretaking and cleaning.
Known for his passion for empowering local communities and enabling possibilities Martyn has over 20 years’ housing experience in a variety of roles. He took up the post of Director of Neighbourhoods in 2018 and is highly regarded for his leadership skills and ambition to make sure tenants are at the heart of everything we do.
Keen to make sure that all tenants have a greater voice, Martyn recognises the importance of and works collaboratively with a range of partners to positively impact people’s lives.
Director of Assets
Mark heads up the ForHousing Asset Management Team responsible for a range of services facilitating the delivering of quality homes and places that create new possibilities for tenants. This covers strategic planning, planned investment to homes and commercial premises, statutory compliance activities, cyclical works, voids services and reactive maintenance activities.
Focused on ensuring that ForHousing is seen as an innovative leader of best practice, Mark believes in creating better places, ones where individuals are safe, warm, inspired and valued.
Recognised as a pioneer in his field, Mark brings over 20 years asset management experience gained within the housing, education and private sectors. He’s a familiar face at industry events keen to lead the way in facilitating sustainable, high quality environments focusing on innovation.
An active member of various asset management and best practice groups, Mark also sits on the Greater Manchester Fire Safety Technical Group.
Director of Income Maximisation
Justin Freeman is responsible for income management at ForHousing. His focus is to make sure that we get involved in things that bring the most benefits to tenants and communities making sure that people get the support that is right for them – at the right time.
He works closely with partners to tackle issues around poverty, welfare changes and managing tenancies to help create opportunities that make things happen – improving lives together. Driven by our priorities and underpinned by our values Justin is particularly keen to find digital solutions recognising that how we do things is equally important as what we do.
With a wealth of over 25 years experience working within the housing sector, Justin is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing, holding degrees in both law and housing. He chairs the National Housing Federation’s Welfare Reform Member Group; North West Housing Management, Welfare Reform Regional Interest Group; and the Housing Quality Network’s Income Management Excellence Groups across north England.
Group Director of Finance
Simon joined ForViva in April 2017 and has over 27 years’ finance experience across a range of sectors including manufacturing, utilities, telecoms, leisure, facilities management, renewable energy and property services.
Simon has worked at board level for the past 12 years, with seven of these in the role of Finance Director at a national property services group. This involved growing the business to become the largest private business of its type in the UK, before managing its eventual sale to a FTSE100 company.
Simon has a wide range of experience with small and large, privately owned and listed businesses. These include management reporting, company acquisitions and disposals, managing rapid growth, setting up new ventures, system implementations and raising finance.
