We are passionate about creating safe, well maintained homes where tenants feel safe and secure, and delivering customer focused, equitable and efficient services that tenants are highly satisfied with.
There is now an exciting opportunity to join our Customer Committee. This is made up of ForHousing tenants and community members, who work together with the ForHousing Board to improve services and use their experience and knowledge to make positive changes to the tenant experience.
Committee experience isn’t essential, so if you’re willing to develop your skills, prepare for meetings, dedicate up to two days per month and have strong listening and collaboration skills, we want to hear from you!
We’ll work with you every step of the way, whether you need to develop skills, or gain an understanding of how our services work, you’ll always have a helping hand.
We’ll provide tailored training and a buddy system so you can develop at your own pace in the areas that truly matter to you.
A minimum commitment of two days a month to help positively impact the lives of social housing tenants where you live, and across the North West.
You’ll get paid to make a difference – we offer £5,600* per year. If applying for this role would affect your current financial circumstances, please let us know as we can provide advice and support.
If you would like to know more information before you apply, we’re holding two drop in sessions on Tuesday 18 March. You can call in to either session but do not need to attend a session to apply.
- Session one – 10:30am to 2pm
- Session two – 4:30am to 6:30pm
- Location: ForHousing, 52 Regent Street, Eccles M30 0BP
If you are unable to come to either session, but want to find out more, please email Governance@forhousing.co.uk and we can arrange an appointment with a colleague to speak to you.

We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive organisation that is shaped by people with a broad range of experiences, including personal experience of living in social housing. We particularly welcome applications from candidates who are currently under-represented at decision-making levels in our sector, including women, people from ethnic minorities within the UK, disabled people and younger people.
