ForHousing is a social purpose business that positively impacts communities by reinvesting profits, building vibrant and safe communities. We know that together we achieve more so we work with a range of like-minded partners to deliver positive change in communities and improve lives.
We now have an excited opportunity to join ForHousing as a Navigator – Homeless Prevention – which is a newly funded role to ensure that people sleeping rough can access local systems.
This varied role will see you coordinate support services, work with stakeholders and provide support, encouragement and advocacy to enable clients to navigate support and accommodation pathways in order to move away from living on the streets.
You’ll provide support to people who are sleeping rough from their placements in B & B’s / Hotels into accommodation and you’ll continue to support them until they are settled and the risk of returning to rough sleeping has reduced.
Candidates will hold NVQ Level 2/3 in Social Care, or equivalent and experience and knowledge in safeguarding and homeless legislation and practice. With knowledge of the principles and practices of training design and associated delivery methods (preferable CIEH or PTLLS), you will have a sound understanding of the support needs and the issues facing our customers.
Due to the nature of this role, candidates must hold a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
As well as a generous holiday entitlement, we offer a range of benefits for a rewarding career including a pension scheme and staff discount club membership. We’ll also make sure you get the training and benefits you deserve.
ForHousing is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
