ForHousing is a different kind of landlord, helping to improve lives by providing quality homes and places. We strive to be a positive influence in all we do, by providing the building blocks to a better life and making more things possible for more people.
Forfutures is a service within the ForHousing, which has been set up to deliver the homeless support service and support to people who are at risk of becoming homeless, those without secure accommodation or ‘sofa surfing’, and people sleeping rough in Cheshire West and Chester in partnership with the Council.
We're a busy team with lots to do and we can only achieve this if we've got the right people with as much enthusiasm and passion as we have for making things happen. So, we’re looking for a Homelessness Prevention Worker to join our team preventing homelessness by supporting customers who are at risk of losing their homes to achieve positive outcomes, through regular support planning, support delivery and review sessions.
You’ll have a caseload of customers with varied needs, undertake regular risk reviews and offer a range of interventions, including 1-1 support, home visits, crisis work, telephone support, office-based support and drop-in sessions.
With previous experience of providing care and / or support within a social care setting, you will hold NVQ Level 2/3 in Social Care. With experience of working with vulnerable adults and a sound understanding of the support needs that our customers are faced with; you’ll have knowledge of Homelessness legislation and practice.
Candidates will require a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
In return, we offer a wide range of benefits for a rewarding career including:
· Competitive salary and a generous holiday entitlement
· Health Shield membership to claim back costs on a range of health and wellness services

· Childcare vouchers
· Wellbeing perks and discounts with attractive savings on everything from travel to shopping
· Comprehensive learning and development platform to enhance and develop your skills
If this sounds like the opportunity for you, take a look at the job description, fill out the application online and we’ll meet up (virtually) if we want to find out more.
