ForHousing is a forward-thinking social organisation that positively impacts communities. We're also proud to create opportunities that make things happen - for people, families, homes and communities. We're a busy team with lots to do. We can only achieve this if we've got the right resources so we look for people and partners with as much enthusiasm and passion as we have for making things happen.

Forfutures is a new service within the Group, which has been set up to deliver the homeless support service in Cheshire West and Chester in partnership with the Council. Forfutures is supporting those who are at risk of being homeless, those without secure accommodation and people sleeping rough. Due to developments and growth within the service we currently have opportunities available for 2 Outreach Workers either on a full or part time basis. Joining us as an Outreach Worker, you will ensure that contact is made and sustained with rough sleepers across the borough helping them to exit a street lifestyle as quickly and safety as possible.

Ensuring appropriate assessments and referrals are undertaken and that all customers are engaged with services in order to receive support towards ensuring they move from the streets and into accommodation or reconnection services, you will provide effective and motivational support to customers across the CWAC borough who reside within the dispersed properties; equipping customers with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to enable them to move on to full independence.

Due to the nature of the role, hours will be worked within a flexible rota (on a 7 day rolling rota) including working early mornings, late nights and at weekends if required.

With an NVQ Level 2/3 in Social Care or equivalent, candidates will have undertaken relevant training relating to safeguarding and homelessness legislation and practice and will have experience of providing care and/or support services within a social care setting (supported housing, care, nursing, residential). Experience of working with vulnerable adults, an understanding of the support needs and the issues facing our customers and a full UK driving licence are also essential for this role.

As well as a generous holiday entitlement, we offer a range of benefits for a rewarding career including a pension scheme and staff discount club membership. We’ll also make sure you get the training and benefits you deserve.
