ForHousing is a social purpose business that positively impacts communities by reinvesting profits, building vibrant and safe communities. We know that together we achieve more so we work with a range of like-minded partners to deliver positive change in communities and improve lives.

Forfutures is a new service within the Group, which has been set up to deliver the homeless support service in Cheshire West and Chester in partnership with the Council. Forfutures is supporting those who are at risk of being homeless, those without secure accommodation and people sleeping rough.

We are now looking to recruit four Housing Support and Resettlement Worker to join us to work alongside customers, using a person-centred approach to support them in practical tasks which will help to achieve the goals and outcomes as outlined in their support plans and risk assessments.

Engaging with customers on a one-to-one basis to support them in their journey towards accessing and maintaining independent accommodation, you will provide practical help and support in areas such as budgeting, nutrition, health care, life skills and applying for welfare benefits; building customer’s confidence, personal worth, motivation, emotional well-being and a positive work ethic.

Working collaboratively with the Change Co-ordinator in enabling customers to understand the impact and consequences of the decisions they make and the actions they take, you must engage with customers, helping them to access services and connect with their communities as a means to improve wellbeing and prospects of employment.

With an NVQ level 2/3 in Social Care or equivalent and a safeguarding qualification, the successful candidate will have experience of providing care and/or support services within a social care setting (supported housing, care, nursing, residential) and hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle. An understanding of the support needs and the issues facing our customers is essential, as is a reasonable knowledge of the benefit/welfare systems.

You will receive a competitive remuneration and generous benefits package, with the opportunity to choose additional flexible benefits including additional holiday and levels of healthcare. The roles are agile which means you have choice over where you work, whether that be in one of our collaboration spaces, in the community, a coffee shop or at home. This flexibility gives you the space to focus on balancing your work, your wellbeing and home life, as well as having a positive impact on the environment by travelling less. We welcome discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and ForHousing.
