At ForHousing, we are governed by three main entities.
That’s the ForHousing Executive Management Team, the ForHousing Board and ForHousing Committees.
These entities ensure clear Board accountability, effective risk ownership and robust assurance. They are designed to support proportionate, transparent and outcome‑focused governance aligned to our core purpose.
The Executive Management Team manages the day‑to‑day running of ForHousing, making sure our services deliver what matters most to tenants and that agreed outcomes are achieved.
The Board provides leadership for ForHousing, setting our strategy and making the key decisions that shape the organisation. Board members bring insight, challenge and experience to ensure we stay focused on our mission and deliver our vision.
The Board is accountable for the organisation’s performance and success. It is responsible for ensuring ForHousing is well governed, financially strong and compliant with all regulatory requirements. This includes overseeing risk so we can continue to provide safe, well‑maintained homes where tenants feel secure.
Our Board members bring experience from a wide range of sectors, helping us to learn, innovate and continuously improve.
We are committed to openness and transparency. You can read our latest Regulatory Judgement in full here.
ForHousing Board Members chair four committees. These committees are responsible for making decisions within their areas of responsibility, overseeing key aspects of how ForHousing operates and delivering change across the organisation.
Through their work, committees ensure day‑to‑day activities are well governed, properly scrutinised and aligned to Board priorities.
The Customer committee provides oversight, influence and support of service delivery to tenants, including customer experience, satisfaction, complaints, insight and compliance with the Neighbourhood & Community, Tenancy and Transparency Standards. It holds ForHousing to account for responding to tenant voice and lived experience.
The Homes committee oversees homes, assets, repairs, landlord and building safety compliance and decarbonisation. It provides assurance that compliance failures are identified, managed and remedied and holds the organisation to account for performance against agreed metrics.
The People and Culture committee oversees ForHousing’s approach to people, reward and organisational culture. It is responsible for recruitment, retention and remuneration of senior colleagues, the Chair, Non‑Executive Directors and Independent Directors, and for appraisal and succession planning for the Chief Executive and Board members. It also provides oversight of equity, diversity and inclusion and ensures tenants are considered in decision‑making.
The Audit and Risk committee oversees the risk management framework, internal controls, internal and external audit, financial reporting integrity and regulatory compliance. It undertakes deep dives, monitors emerging risks and reviews management responses to assurance findings.
