Digital guides

Maintaining and strengthening the bond between you and other people in your life can really improve your wellbeing, as well as relieve any feelings of anxiety and loneliness.

We know that this is not always easy to do and you may not have the resources or connections that you need to make this happen.

We are here to help if you need someone to talk to; whether its advice, a concern you have, or just a friendly voice to chat with, please reach out to us – that’s what we’re here for!

We work with local partners who deliver digital workshops which aim to help people who need a little support with getting online.

We’ve recently installed community touch screens in a number of venues in Stockbridge Village, to give you access to online services. These screens will offer you a way to access important information online such as MyAccount+, local support and much more.

The community touch screens are located in Stockbridge Village at:

  • The Community Hub
  • The Craigs Community Centre
  • Jackson Gardens

If you need any more digital support, please contact your local Community Development Officer.

Social media platforms are a great way to connect with others. Try Facebook for instant messaging, Instagram for photos and videos, and Twitter for staying up to date with current affairs.

If you need support in setting up a social media profile, we’re just a click away. We have created a few quick and easy guides to help you along on your digital journey.

There are also plenty of apps and digital platforms that will help you keep communicating. Seeing someone’s face whilst chatting to them can help you feel closer and as if you’re in the same room. It’s sure to help your wellbeing! Try downloading apps like Zoom or Skype to video chat with friends, family or neighbours.
