Supporting neighbourhoods with Youth Groups

We’re proud to continue working in partnership with youth providers who deliver vital youth work across your communities. In 2024–2025, we strengthened our commitment to young people by investing £77,658 into youth provision across Salford, Stockbridge, and Fitton Hill, helping to create positive, lasting change for you and your family.

We partnered with Salford Community Leisure (SCL) in Eccles, Swinton, and Walkden, Kids Activities Bootcamp (KABS) and Apollo Active CIC in Stockbridge and The Salvation Army  in Fitton Hill

Across Salford, Stockbridge Village and Oldham we delivered 272 sessions, reaching 466 individual young people and recording a total of 5,025 attendees. These sessions provided safe spaces where young people could build confidence, learn new skills, and feel a sense of belonging.

Highlights from the Year

The Brew Crew – Fitton Hill

Young people accessed sports clubs, gardening workshops, and volunteer opportunities. A standout moment was an intergenerational session that brought the community together.

Apollo Active – Stockbridge Village

Sessions helped rebuild trust between young people and adults, especially in areas previously affected by anti-social behaviour.

Making a difference to J’s confidence

When we first met  J, he was often seen with peers involved in anti-social behaviour and not engaging in any structured activities. Over time, through gentle encouragement and consistent presence, J began participating in football sessions. His transformation has been remarkable: from hesitant observer to confident leader. He now supports new participants and has found a sense of purpose and pride.

“Before this, I didn’t really do anything after school. We were just out on the street. But now I’ve got something to do, and I’ve met people who actually talk to me, not at me. I feel like I’ve changed a bit.”  — J

The positive impact it makes
