Interview schemes

At ForHousing our inclusive culture is built on trust. We believe that diversity enriches our culture, both in the workplace and in communities.

As part of this, we’re committed to making our recruitment process more inclusive by offering four interview schemes, you can request to be considered for.

We will offer an interview to disabled applicants who meet the essential requirements of a role.

As part of our commitment to improve the representation of colleagues from ethnically minoritised backgrounds in senior roles at ForHousing, we will offer an interview to applicants who meet the essential requirements of a senior role and are from an ethnic or racial background that is minoritised in the UK. (A senior role is classified as any role with a starting salary of £40,000 per annum or more)

We will offer an interview to applicants who meet the essential requirements of a role who are serving, or have served, as part of any branch of the British Armed Forces.

As we wish to be representative of the communities we serve, we offer an interview to ForHousing tenants who meet the essential requirements of a role.

How to be considered?

To be considered under one of these interview schemes, you need to check the box next to the scheme you wish to be considered under during your application process:

You will only be considered eligible if you have answered the relevant question in the “Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion” section of the application. For example, if opting into the Disability Confident Scheme, you must have answered that you do have a condition or illness lasting over 12 months or expected to in the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion section.

Those who opt-in for a scheme who haven’t answered the relevant question in this section, or who answer “no” will be considered to have opted in to the interview scheme ineligibly, and their application will not be progressed to interview based on this.

If you opt-in to an interview scheme you are eligible for, and you meet the essential criteria for the role, then you will be offered an interview.

In cases where we have a high volume of applications for a vacancy, hiring managers can offer interviews under the above schemes based on applications that best meet the requirements of the role.
