Domestic abuse is any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are, or have been, intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality. The abuse can encompass, but is not limited to:

  • Psychological
  • Physical
  • Sexual
  • Financial
  • Emotional

How to report domestic abuse

If you are, or someone you know is, a victim of domestic abuse or violence, find out how to report it and where to get help.

If you are concerned about your safety or the safety of someone else, you must contact the police immediately. You can also report this directly to us.
