An update on the services we deliver in your home

Towards the end of last year, we shared news with you that Liberty, who used to carry out repairs and maintenance to your home, is now under the ownership of Wates. 

Some parts of the service have now been rebranded and you’ll now see both Wates and Liberty vans on the roads with Wates-branded operatives are looking after repairs and maintenance and Liberty-branded engineers are taking care of heating and gas jobs in your home.  

We’ve listened to your feedback and learned from you on what’s important to you when it comes to your repairs. Wates’ investment, experience, knowledge and understanding of social housing repairs will help us deliver an improved service for you. 

What do Wates be look after? 

Wates will carry out any repairs or maintenance to your home, including: 

  • Damp repairs 
  • Roofing 
  • Plastering 
  • Joinery 
  • Plumbing 
  • Grounds maintenance 
  • Electrical safety checks

What do Liberty look after? 

Liberty will carry out any heating and gas repairs to your home, including: 

  • Heating 
  • Gas 
  • Boiler repairs and servicing 
  • Gas safety checks

Booking your repair 

You’ll still be able to book a repair in the usual way. And as always, if you’re unsure about letting someone into your home then please just contact our Customer Connect Hub on 0300 123 5522 to check.
